Typical retiree bothered with the wind
What have I been up to the past 12 months? Not much. I’m 90 years old now and, obviously, not as active as I used to be.
I came down to Florida 22 years ago to escape the cold and snow. I didn’t anticipate frequent hurricanes. This year’s hurricane season was of historic proportions. There were four of them.
One storm blew down a big tree on my lot. Fortunately it didn’t fall on the house. At the same time the power went off. There was no electricity for five days.
Aside from coping with hurricanes, in July 1 went to New York for a few days with my daughter Corinne to visit relatives. Most of my time is spent doing “yard work”, mowing the lawn, trimming shrubs, etc.
I also visit the Florida National Cemetery, where Margaret, my wife of 54 years, is buried.
I assume I’m a typical Florida retiree.
