Sime’s site is a contact point for people who worked for, or contributed to, Variety and Daily Variety in the period up to its sale in 1987 to Cahners Publishing. (To find out more just Click> About us.) The site comprises the following sections which are accessed by clicking on the red buttons on the left of this page:

Page One
We have recently (May 2006) redesigned this page, so that those accessing the web are led directly into the latest posting on the Site. There is a search facility for speedy access to names and story subjects. The five boxes at the top of Page One carry biographies of key figures in the history of Variety and Simesite and one that explains the whys and wherefores of the Site.

Notice Board
This unedited section is where visitors publicly correspond with one another by posting and answering messages.

Obits
This section lists the names of deceased Variety people.

Muggs
This section lists the names of contributors and provides background and contact details. It also acts an archive for the stories filed by the individuals listed.

Pics
This section carries a wide range of photographs.

Archive
This section provides links to virtually every story on the site. It is divided into site sections to assist navigation. Entries are filed in date order and include all material formerly under the headings of "Feedback", "Soundtrack", "Inside Stuff", "Nostalgia", "Slanguage" and "Inside Variety".
